Time 1-1 ½ hrs Distance 2.2km (return) Grade – Medium - Hard
This short walk is very lovely and affording some of the prettiest views of the Northern Grampians. To start take the track to the right (the left will take you up to Mt Stapylton) and begin the getle ascent through the well cut steps.
you will quickly leave the steps behind and begin climbing over rocky boulders. About half way up you will need to squeeze through narrow gap and scramble up large boulders which hug the cliff face (this can be unnerving for those who don't like hights) before reaching the barren outcrop which affords magnificent views of the valley bellow.
A short clamber up will see you into a flatter area where you can explore some great wind caverns and if you are into bouldering, you will find hours of fun in this section.
You can also take a very quick detour to the left (look for the red arrow) where you will get some lovely views of the back of Mt Stapleton.
Another short scramble at the upper end will see you perched on a ledge which has some breathtaking views of the surrounding areas.
